How many images has my camera shot?

Hi everyone, I'm hoping one or more of you experts would be able to tell me how I can find out the number of total images that my 1 DS Mk 2 has shot.

I think I did find out many moons ago, but now I can't remeber.

Thanks for the feedback so far, but apart from the fact I use a Mac computer set up, I seem to remember there was a way of going into the menu and reading the actuations.... I just can't remember how...

Not from the menu, but it's in the EXIF at something like offset 0093. IEXIF viewer can locate that field. Then you have to decode the hex.
