Does anyone think its worth changing a 20d for a 40d. I have a 5d but cannot afford another one so is the 40d really an upgrade?

The 40d is superior in a way that the 30d never was. I would say yes overall though if you can stand it, wait and save your $$ for the 5d used. They run about 2100 ish these days for a good one.
