Hey friends,

I figured you might enjoy this. Here is a kit lens (18-50) and a older 20d with a dirty sensor. I was in Sacramento visiting family and I left my camera at home. A band coming through the area asked me to shoot them with their camera. One of the shots I used a 50mm 1.8.

Not quite done with post yet, but I figured you guys might enjoy it! I know its not quite the right section for this. I am posting to show what can be done with a 20d and a kit lens. Any suggestions are more than welcome! Feel free repost your ideas.

Awesome shots, all great. Awesome PP. Was the processing similar for some of the shots (like 2, 3, 5 and 6)?

Nice to see work with an 'ancient' body and a 'crappy' lens.

hey thanks. :) yeah they are 3 shots separated by 2 stops each, then merged together to create that effect.

Cheers!

Very cool. I live in Sacramento and I recognize all these locations...I especially like #4.

What is the name of the band?

Not being a smarta$$ but isn't the kit lens 18-55? These are very good pics, are they tonemapped?
