we were up ther right after the fire this summer it is a very beautiful area ...nice shot

Looks like you got lucky with the weather. We were up there in April, and it was so freakin' windy, the tripod nearly got blown over. No chance for any reflections that day.
Very nicely captured.


Upside the head...A place where nothing good ever happens.

Wow, that's beautiful, it would have been really neat if you got a shot a *little* bit earlier so you could see a slight light spilling over the top. You can see just a sliver on the closest mountain here.

Well, with the weather I sorta cheat, this is my backyard, so I can go whenever things are looking like they might be good.
I haven't shot anymore out there of that particular area, plus my tripod literally died on me in north Zion last year on the last day, on the way to the last photo op. It just completely gave up the ghost. I should go out there and shoot some more, it's an absolutely beautiful area. Thanks for the kind words :)
