?! What is the difference between Type I and Type II Compact Flash Cards? ?

Do certain 512 MB cards perform better in the 10D or do they all perform about the same???

Thanks for your photog wisdom :D

Type I is a normal solid state CF card that you can drop and not hurt from about 10 feet.

Type II is a MicroDrive and is a mini-hard drive. No do not drop them! They will break that way.

Type I means the card is thin, type II means the card is thicker, about twice the type I. Typically type II is microdrive.

Here is the good ole Rob Galbraith'sperformance chart (external link).

EDIT: beaten! ?! :mrgreen:

5D and holy trinity of primes. Now the 90mm TS-E TS-E fly bit me. I hate these forums.

Yes and it is the logo of a now defunct team (Québec Nordiques) which became the Colorado Avalanche. I have followed the Nordiques from 84-85 to 94-95 over the summer of 95 when they moved to Denver and became the Avs and the Avs I have followed from 95-96 thru the present.

//extreme sarcasm=on
What's that I hear? What they won in '96 and '01? Wow! Really? I saw it happen, both times!
//extreme sarcasm=off

No doubt especially if there is a season! The last time we had a truncated season was 94-95 when the then Nordiques won the President's Trophy and Peter Forsberg got the Calder Trophy.

Same here, good luck...more that we have a season period. :) I put the extreme sarcasm mode in there for a reason!

The 80X Lexar card has to be out for a little while. I don't think it has. The other possibility is that there really isn't that much gain in speed over the 40x. The 10D could be the bottleneck in this case. It is kinda like haveing an insanely fast computer with a slower than molasses up North in Jan hard drive. The HD is the weakest link there and in this case, the 10D writing speed is too.
