I've been using two 20D's for over two years now. I shoot weddings and sports. I usually shoot several hundred shots per night. I have never seen my battery indicator at anything other than FULL. I shot a sport tonight without having recharged because they still showed full. I usually do recharge but time did not allow so I went with out charging. Tonight I lost all power and it showed completely empty. Does your 20D ever indicate a lower than full reading. I had extra batteries with me and got it all back up and working just fine but I don't like the fact that they went from full to dead without warning.

When I had mine it would show full for the first 98% of the shots, then if it showed the "half battery" I had maybe 50 shots left, then it went to "empty battery" or "blinky empty battery", and it dies within 10 shots. I really hated the battery indicator on that camera...and my mk2 isn't much better - now I just own more batteries that are always fully charged and carry them with me even if I swear I won't need them.
