Decided to try macro setting on 24-105L IS for first time.
Results are here, not sure about flower ID.

The colors are awesome and I like the composition, the focus seems maybe a little soft or just sharpen up a little bit.

They are all dahlia's
The pink ones look good, the yellow one I find a bit lost in all the black.

Thanks for ID info.
The background to the yellow Dahlia is not artificial, but is the original untouched. I rather like the effect this makes on the yellow flower, making it stand out.
