Sep 12, 2007 12:11 | #3 Thanks Anke. I had a tough time deciding on either the 40D or the 5D. I wanted to get the 5D sometime last year, but went with Nikon D80 and D200 instead. I wasn't happy with the noises that Nikon was giving me so I sold them and now making the switch to Canon. My main objective is to shoot mostly landscape (night). At one point I had preordered the 40D through Amazon and my gut instinct tells me to go with the 5D. I canceled my order of the 40D and am waiting for a 5D deal to go through from a member here at this forum. I think I will be very happy with the 5D from what I've read and saw many beautiful landscape shots it produced. Canon 5D Mark IIComplete Gear / Feedback

My dilemma is a choice between the 1D Mark III and the 40D, which are almost the same camera but £2k difference! Anke
