Here are some shots I got from wondering around Skagway Alaska befor ethe Klondike Race this last weekend.

1. A dog keeping watch over this COOL bike!

2. This building was originally covered with these driftwood sticks and has been maintained over the years.

3. A GREAT restaurant!

4. A cool shop. The famous photgs Case and Draper made thier name working out of Skagway during the Klondike years. They toothe pictures of Soapy Smith, the famous outlaw. I dont know if they are contected to this store or not, but the museum has a very nice display of their work.

Careful, you an take the boy out of Alaska, but you cant take the Alaska out of the boy, as the saying goes...

I came up here to fish (instead of going to HS, dont know how my parents put up with me....LOL), and ended up up as soon as I got out of dental school....LOL

Yep, me too, don't know if I could stand the dark days and weather though.

Interesting photos! As with the others, I'd really love to visit Alaska sometime. I've been there before, but it doesn't count. It was only a stopover flight in Anchorage.

The light is greatly dependant on hwere you live. Down here our shortest days are about 9 hours of daylight, our longest days are about 18 hours.

Long days ROCK! It is SO awsume to ge tup at 4 in the am and it is light, head out camping, hiking or fishing and have 18 hours to get whatever you are doing done. I get a TON of projects done in the summer..long days are the BEST!
