I posted this on the FM forum, but didn't see it here, so I figured I'd repost it for my fellow POTN-ers.

Apologies ahead of time if this has already been posted. I stumbled across an amazing article written by wedding photographer Matt Mendelsohn entitled "Getting the Picture":

It's an article originally published by the Washington Post, and the link to the original article is toward the top of the blog post, but I found it easier to read the sans serif font of the blog as opposed to the serif font of the Washington Post. Your mileage may vary.

Anyway, I found this article fascinating to read (the author was an English major in college, which probably helped), despite the length. It's long, so don't expect to skim a quick read, but if you have the time definitely check it out. I'll hold off further comments until others have had time to read it--don't want to spoil it for you!

Thats a really good read.

At first I wondered where it was going.

Half way through I wondered why I work in the wedding business.

By the end, I love my job again.
