Probably the last time I'll get a chance to photograph the hive until next spring when the bee keeper wants me to come out and shoot the males. The bees in a lot of these photos are eating the honey that they have stored.

Xti + MPE65 + MT-24EX. From 1x to 2x.

I was with an experience bee keeper under controlled conditions. Never, ever, would I go near a wild hive...

honey coloured photos, delicious. I thought bee colonies were generally quite docile or is that only when swarming?

o i wasnt planning on gong to a wild hive, my gfs grandparents own a hive, but i dnt think they have bee clothes lol:rolleyes:

They are, unless you mess with them or they perceive you as a threat.
