I looked into this and it seems that their magic ingredient is citronella. I always figured Deet was more powerful but I’ll give it a try. We are headed back to the woods this weekend. I’m still looking for my buck. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Wanna come over for some dinner? ![]() me Ya know, I just started the Nutrisystem diet plan and looking over their forums many referred to a certain side effect as Nutri-toots. I never got it until now. However, it didn't seem to help in the woods. All it did was get me chastised by the wife. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I picked up two new cans of repellant, Deep Woods Off with 25% deet as I found out my old can may be a decade or more old, and Cutter Advanced with Picaridin a new repellent. Both were in the spray cans. I used the Cutter and my wife used the Off. Well, both products this time seemed to work fine. We were still followed by the hundreds of the critters and they were buzzing around us but none were landing or biting. All I can surmise is that deet has a shelf life and looses its effectiveness over time. One other observation is that the Cutter brand was less oily and had less of an odor. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
