Well, CombineZM goes up to 120% (?) compression. When it asks for jpeg compression, you can select a value up to 120%. I don't know if it helps, but that could be part of it.

Also, within the stacking macro itself, there are various sharpening algorithms. It's a long shot, but it could be that the sharpening is not applied to the saved jpeg, but rather only the preview image. Very unlikely, but possible.

Can you take a screenshot of the same area in CombineZM and in photoshop right next to each other (in the same frame)? It would be interesting to see the differences between the two (Seemingly) identical shots.

Bring the CombineZM window next to the Photoshop window and have both screens visible and on the same part of the image.

Then, press the "Print Screen" button (yes, it has a use!!!).

This takes a screenshot of your desktop. Now, open it in photoshop by creating a new document and "pasting" the screenshot into it.

Crop it so we can see the same part of the picture in both programs, and post that. It should look like this:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png'

Make sure to zoom in so we can see any small differences in sharpness.
