Night Photography Attempt

For the past 20-30 years, I've been primarily a 'people' photographer and haven't shot much of anything else. Now that a heart attack has 'retired' me, I'm attempting some of the things that I never had time or desire for previously.

Here is my first attempt at night photography, I got this shot off just as the nice Capitol Policeman was telling me that I couldn't set up my tripod on the grounds. Comments and CC encouraged.

WOW! Thanks for all the positive reinforcement folks. I was expecting (and hoping for) some "I like it but!..." type comments but I'll take these any day. Glad you like it. I didn't care for the lighting in the color version so converted to black, played with it a bit in LR & PS and this is what I ended with. I'm fixing to print an 11x14 to see what it looks like.

Yes, it was still but the water is not much more than a large pool in front of the Capitol. Not large enough that wind would stir it up.
