Anyone else having this problem? DDP worked perfectly fine when I had it with my XTi.

I uninstalled the old version, installed the one included on CD with the 40D, and now when I load RAW files only a few load before it crashes.

It's version 3.1 btw.

uninstall and try reloading, if that doesn't work, I would check to make sure that your computer is upto recommended specs for the program.

If that doesn't solve it, I suspect a bug, although I haven't heard much about the DPP crashing with the 40D.

Mine locks up and won't close, but only when I also have PS-CS2 open at the same time. Maybe it is a memory management problem.

Hmm...weird. I know I don't have a Core 2 Duo top of the line PC or anything, but my computer shouldn't be anywhere near obsolete.

PC Specs:
Athlon FX-55
2GB OCZ RAM (benchmarked and error free)
Radeon X1950XT
Windows XP Pro

All drivers are up to date. Computer is spyware and virus free (as far as I know). I've uninstalled DPP and resinstalled twice, making sure to clean out DPP strings in the registry. The older version was working just fine when I was using it with my RAW files from my XTi (just over a week ago).

I really hope there is an updated version soon.

I am using the old version of DPP that I already had with the 40D raw images and I am not having any problems. I am able to transfer to PSCS with no problems. However, I do have a new computer with Core 2 Duo.
My only complaint is that I hate DPP for raw processing. I guess I am going to have to upgrade to PSCS3.

Knock on wood - I haven't had any problems with this to date (after two weeks now). I'm running a five year old Gateway PC. and installed the new DPP disc over the old one without uninstalling the old one.

Maybe ignorance is bliss?
