Hiya All,
Well didn't I time things well eh, having caught up with a shed loada stuff over the last couple of weeks that's been neglected I decided it was about time I got myself a ' Fix ' I set off with high expectations & guess what I got rained on from a great height & had to run for cover :rolleyes: well hop :lol:

So I wound up shooting the only thing I could find which is this tiny ' Midge ' I think it's Sylvicola fenestralis which according to the book says it resembles the Winter Gnat, damned if I know though :lol: I guess it was about 3mm

Thanks for that, just what I needed as I was begining to think I'd lost my touch or what touch I had after such a long break :D:D

I'm using the Ranox 250 add on lens I have to say though it seems harder to use with the Canon 400D & Sigma 105 lens set-up than when I used it before on my S3 IS not sure why that should be though :confused:

Persevere with the Raynox add on lens as it looks like you've got the hang of it

I suspect the Raynox lenses work better with those prosumer cameras with their 400mm lenses. For one thing you must get better working distance and DOF.

I think you're dead right there, the working distance is horrendously close on my set-up, it was way way better with the S3 IS,

I'd love to try the MPE for comparison no one that I know around here has one, so for now I'll keep going nose to nose :lol:
