Here are a few shots. For my first time shooting them I think I have a few good shots. The quality looks low for the web. The color sucks as well as all of the dust on the lens from the runway dirt and I am way to tired to be screwing around with PS. I will post more tomorrow evening when I return from the second day of the airshow.

In a "word" NO.
I've started the grandkids watching from the sidelines at takeoffs. We don't get to watch the whole show, but we are only a couple hundred feet from lift off at King County Airport in Seattle.

Yeah, they really are a lot of fun. The precision is just amazing. They do their winter training in the Southern California desert. One time I was driving on the interstate in the middle of nowhere and they roared overhead. It was truly amazing.

I just noticed that I misspelled "Angels", what a dumba$$ I am.

2 more pics from the airshow.

This plane is absolutely beautiful to watch fly.

I saw the Blue Angels a good few years ago in the UK, great display team! Want to catch them again now I have decent camera set up.

Wow, great shots! I love the last Angels one with the vapor forming over the wings. The Sabre shots are fantastic, too. What lens are you using?

Thanks blalor.
I used my 100-400L. Sometimes they were so close that when I was at 100mm I got this.

Kona, this is an excellent series you have going here.....I expecially like the silhouette shot of the Blue Angels. That is a rare take on an awsome aerobatic team.

Just awesome. That looks like a great piece of glass (I'm stunned by the sharpness), but the guy standing behind it seems to know his stuff, too! ;)

Thank you very much for the compliment. I am very happy with the results as well.

The lens is wonderful and thank you for the compliment. I have practiced many hours but I still have a lot of shooting to do before I can be really good.

But practice was not the only factor is getting some of those good shots. There are many many great people on this forum who have spent their professional time helping and sharing shooting tricks for us average guys. Without them I would still have a steep learning curve. I can not name them all but photosguy is a wealth of information but needs help from time to time on state abbreviations.

Thanks for looking.
