Good shots, prefer #2 as the eyes in #1 are slightly OOF and the background in #2 is nicer imho.

It's a little wattle bird which is a honeyeater. Very nice shots of this bird.

I bet they are noisy having them nesting on the varandah, the ones around here are very loud and are allways chasing the smaller honeyeaters off.

Thanks guys.

Well atm we have these guys nesting and we have a bunch of masked lapwings (plovers, i think) nesting in the yard, so between those two there is a bit of a racket.

Some nice captues here of a cool looking bird. My only suggestion would be to use a little more DOF to get the tail in focus and to get the whole tail in the shot.

Love the detail in the body and head of all of them. Nice and sharp.

THanks guys and thanks for the advice Gary, still learning with this kind of stuff so i wasnt sure which apeture to use to get that desired effect, was also shooting at iso 400 at quite low speeds so it was more or less a compromise on shutter speed as well.

Ill certainly try to get better DOF next time.

Nice series Ospi and I`ll echo Gary`s comments about the DOF and Tail.
