I have a friend who has a 30D and his images all come out of the camera with his name in the "Author" section of the EXIF data.

I have a 20D and want to know if my camera can do the same thing. Can anyone tell me how?

yes, i think you need to use the software that came with your camera, the eos viewer utility. go to options and then camera settings

edit - if you use capture one you can input your name and copyright which will appear in your exif -

Yes, you need to install the software (EOS Utility) that came with the camera or go to CANON (external link)
web site and download the software.

Thanks. After failing to find where I could download the EOS Viewer Utility, I went on a big hunt through my cupboard (found a pair of woman's underpants that I have no idea ended up being there:D) and found the CD. THANKS AGAIN.

Thanks, but a concerted search of Canon's website revealed no download available. Maybe I'm not looking in the right spot. It certainly doesn't seem to be on Canon Australia's website. Found the CD anyway...see above.

Thanks again.

Thanks, but the link doesn't work. I'll try it again later.

Try this way:

http://www.usa.canon.com …ller?act=DownloadIndexAct (external link)

1. Select category: EOS (SLR) Camera Systems
2. Select product type: Digital EOS Cameras
3. Select model: EOS 20D
4. Click GO
5. On the next page click on Drivers / Software

NB: To install these updates you must either have software from the original CD already installed or you'll have to manually add some keys to the Registry (Windows).

If you click on the CANON in my first post you would get to the site where you can download what you need. Peace out.
