Second part from my trip to Italy 2 months ago. This time I would like to show you main square (Piazza Duomo) in Milano. I spent 6 days in Milano and I think it is excellent city in terms of nightlife. Not so much sights there, it is mainly industrial city. But the sights available there are extraordinary. The cathedral in the photos (Duomo) is one of the world's largest churches. You may ask, what the hell are there doing billboards - Duomo was in reconstruction that time and behind the billboards are scaffoldings. One year ago, whole cathedral was covered with these billboards. Reconstruction is now completely finished. You can also go to the rooftop for an exceptional views.

I like the color. Black and white is nice and all, and I agree it adds a sense of artisism, but when you absolutely nail a color shot (which you did), why mess with it. For me, the only time BW works is when the contrast is higher than what it would typically be. Ansel Adams was a master, as we all know, and his shots really transcended from black to white and every gray in between. These are nice, but the color was so much nicer. It added a whole other dimension.

That's my spin...

Thank you. Yes, everyone see the world in different point of view and that's why we do photography.

Beautiful!

I've seen my fair share of churches and this one knocks my socks off. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's the most beautiful in the world. I'll take it over Vatican any day.

Wish I'd known I could go up on the roof when I was there in April.

The day I visited, the square (and entire neighborhood) was teeming with German soccer fans who were in quite a frenzy due to their victory.
