Hi all,
I admit Im an extreme newbie. I need help lightining the whites of my wifes eyes. Is there a quick way to do this? I tried Dodging the whites up, but I didnt like it so much. Any help is appreciated.

I use about 17 to 20 percent opacity and a soft brush. Some of the brushes have the same density out to the edge and some soften around the edges. The softer ones will blend better. Be careful not to lighten too much. You can use this under the eyebrows too to make the eyes look bigger. Also helps with teeth. If you go too far with the whites of the eyes, it will look unnatural. I did get the eyes whiter, but Im still confused about new layer level. When I click new layer adjustment, I have to choose an option. I just skipped that part and did it on my original.

Several tools have a mask built in. ...and did it on my original. BAD choice! Someday, when you know more, you may want to revisit that file. At the very least, you should make a dupe layer & only work on that. This will double your file size, where using an Adj Layer will not. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
