Here are a couple shots of a trantula I found on my porch at 3am in the morning when I couldn't sleep. C&C welcome and appriciated.

Looks like you needed a wider angle lens. :lol: About how big was it?

Yeah, I need to buy the 100mm macro. This one was not that big....only about 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide at the body. This was actually a smaller one compared to most I've seen before...and have shots of. I got a quick shot of it near a large frog that I was hoping I was going to get shots of eating the tarantula, but the frog thought otherwise and kept on hopping along.

that's pretty cool. the biggest spider i saw here, was about a 1/2 inch in size...

I live out in the Texas hill country in south central Texas. This is actually about the 4th or 5th one I've seen on my porch since moving here back in February.

HOLY Spiders! eewwee - you keep that guy down in your area! and you are way to close to that thing! I would have shot it with my 70 -200 on 200!

I like spiders but there is a point where they are a bit big for my liking.
A good macro lens would get some really scarey shots of that guy.
