I took my 30D in for a minor problem... my 2 year old poured apple juice in it.

They replaced it in 4 days with a 40D. I had already sold the kit lens I got with the 30D but they did not ask (some have mentioned to have had a problem wihtout the kit lens). I got a new 40D and everything that comes in the box. Accidental coverage is worth it!!! I bought 4 year accidental for the replacement.. I plan to get that $$ back by selling the kit lens again. :)

A rare time when the extended warranty comes through for someone with ease and great results.

I've had 3 boys go thru the 4 year old stage. It is cheaper to just buy the camera! Good luck with the new camera and post some shots!

I bought my 40D at Best Buy and took the coverage also. Hope it never comes to that.

I bought my 40D from Circuit City and bought a 2 year accidental coverage plan for $219. (Bought on-line, still waiting for delivery) About an hour after the purchase I realized that my insurance covers the exact same thing (Valuable personal property insurance...not homeowners). Needless to say, I called back and had them remove the extended warranty from the sale.

I hate paying for extended warranties, but they have paid off twice in the past.
