LOL!! "Macro Moon" I agree this sounds wierd and wondered if I should include it with the others, but decided to post it anyway.
These are still youngish grasshoppers the first about 4 inches and the second was a bit smaller. Compared to yours??? I never nticed them when I was in England so I cannot tell you. We have some that are probably about 5 inches in length max.

Try to focus on the eyes. Also if you can, try and get parallel to the subject that will give the best DOF.
