You're forgiven....this time. :p

Here's another First Dance shot I dug up. Kinda like this one. Another manual focus @ 50mm f/2.

#3 is a killer shot, bro. I agree that it would benefit from a different processing effect, but still doesn't take anything away from the image. I'm digging the rest as well. You've captured some nice moments there.

very nice shots!!!

Thanks.

I think I'm gonna buy up another 50mm f/1.4 and ST-E2. Unlike the prosumer bodies, the 1 series doesn't let you turn the flash off and use the beam only for focus, and I suck at manually focusing. I think I'd have a lot better success with the dance shots if I had a fast prime and an IR beam to help focus...

How much does Bella pay? Just curious. I was debating whether it would be worth trying out for it. Thanks!

Great pics by the way. I love the one with her kissing her dad, and her veil floating like it is.

Yeah, I have gear too....

Not enough if you have a huge ego. :)

Seriously though unless you're an awesome photographer (which I'm not), you can't expect to live off it. But it's nice as a supplement and to fill otherwise unbooked dates and/or just help pay for gear. They're treating me pretty well so far. I have a pretty good rapport with most of the girls at the assignment desk and operations and such, but I'm not yet certified either. These are my "see if you have what it takes" weddings...

Thanks. I like it for the same reason...the veil. That thing was huge.

I happen to recall seeing an article about BellaPictures in Rangefinder magazine. Here's a link to the online article. http://www.rangefindermag.com …r07/showpage.taf?page=112 (external link) From the article, it looks like they put a real effort into training and also mentions "recipes for correct exposures in Fuji, Nikon and Canon so our photographers can get it right the first time, when they shoot.". Any trade secrets you can divulge to the rest of us?

They're even advertising for photographers in a few craigslists throughout the US. I can think of someone Bella could be recommended to, but they aren't at all good in taking advice. :)

Seems like a great place to get some experience and earn a bit of cash besides.

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

3, 4, 6 are great! #7 I find the light distracting i'd have stepped slightly to the right. #9's fantastic! :)
