Hi all,
Feels a little insensitive to post anything upbeat after the news of Colin McRae, his son and the other passengers in the helicopter crash. My thoughts are with their family and friends at this difficult time and I would like to imagine that he would prefer we continued to enjoy all forms of motor sport…
I thought I’d post a couple of images I got over the last day or two at the Silverstone Le Mans event. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have got hold of a 1D Mark 3 (picked it up from T4 Cameras in Swindon on Friday, thanks guys!) which I’ve upgraded from a 1D Mark 2n.
Initial impressions are very positive. The following images should hopefully speak for themselves (although my usual area is wildlife, so apologies if these are seen as cr*p!). They’re all at with the 1D mk3 and 300mm f/2.8 at 1/60 second, ISO 100 and between f/11 and f/16. Only post processing done is crop for aspect ratio, a bit of saturation and a small amount of sharpening.
Comments and/or critique welcome!
Cheers,
Ben
