FYI: B&H's website showed the 40D with an in-stock status as of early this morning (Monday, Sept. 17), in case you're wondering where to find it online.

(However, the site still claims to have no information whatsoever about 5D Mk II.)

But the 1D MkIII is still OOS.

I'm creeping up on the extra cash for one thanks to some side work. :D

Sigh.
One might wonder how Jonathan Swift, Samuel Clemens or Alexander Pope were able to publish without use of emoticons--though characterizing human baby harvesting as a "modest" proposal somehow still managed to alarm a few of the more dense readers.

Nevertheless, despite a lack of verified evidence, many choose to believe rumors and are clinging to any update; I only catered to the demonstrated (and frustrated) demand to Keep Hope Alive . . .
