8x10 sucks rocks...I always forget to add in extra room and end up having to chop feet or photoshop in more background (easy with bricks, hard with other stuff)...I am trying to push the 8x12s now, unfortunately its tough to find frames to fit them. I feel your pain, Kristin!

8x10 is just so fat...I'm not a fan at all now.

I have philosophical problems with anything not in a 2x3 ratio ... this ratio has deep significance according to some schools of thought. (Fibonacci numbers, ancient Greek philosophy etc.) Personally I think if it's not perfectly square, it needs to be 2x3.

:-D

I actually don't mind experimenting with various ratios on various images - lightly, not on every one - but I've yet to find an 8x10 that can't be improved by a different one!

I'm currently uploading to pixelperfect to get some samples of their prints...I need to try a couple of other Aussie sites, too. Who do you use for your prints, Luke?

Well played, you mind if I use this to explain to customers why I don't sell 8x10s? :)

I actually still don't mind some of my uw stuff in the fatter format...it did take me a while to get used to 2:3 when I switched from 3:4. Now I look at new 3:4 photos and they just seem "off". But on land, 2:3 is the only way. I'm a bit strange, I know ;)

Okay, finished slightly over half of my bridals in one night. Will do the rest tomorrow. Can barely hold my eyes open anymore.

I never have shot anything like this before and didn't think I'd have this many keepers but I have TONS! 90 minute shoot and I took 300 shots. I'd say half are keepers, so maybe about 150.

Ben, that's what everyone said about my engagement shots, that it was crazy to have close to 400 keepers. lol. So, either my judgement is way off or I am not so bad at this. :-)

Based on what you have posted, probably the latter ;) Have a good night Karena. (seriously, get some sleep daywalker!)

Good that you are almost done. Half is an excellent strike rate.

I'm here for a little bit longer then I'm going to head down to the bowling club where our drunken nephews are trying their hand at it for the first time ever...should be interesting anyway.

Your shots have been nice so far. I suspect that as you do more, you, too, will find that you are getting harsher on your images so you'll get more nit-picky and have fewer that hit that excellence standard. I know that how most of us progress, anyway...

I even do it when I look back over a shoot a few days later...what were grade A's fall to B's etc. It's an interesting phenomenon...I also find that some of my B's and C's will rise in the rankings as I look more critically at things.
