November sounds good for me! Supper sounds good, though my wife usually leaves me alone on my photo meetings because all the photo talk bores her... hahaha

Awesome! you're shooting here Jan 26? Can I be your in-the-shadows second shooter? Most will not know I'm there... I'm like... ninja. I love second shooting.

Seriously? Dude, I want to second shoot for YOU sometime! The things I could learn ...

I'll bring my husband and then they can talk about us like we're not there. LOL!

I'll second shoot for anyone. i've second shot for many people who have much less experience than me, but I always come out of it learning something new and exciting. And I like to stay away in the shadows and totally and completely stay out of the primary's way, unless they request something of me.

And I'm totally cool with being a gear holder, coffee fetcher, reflector holder, human light stand, or whatever. Let me know if you wanna, it'll be fun! But if you prefer to work alone (many do) then NO PROBLEM at all.

Also, I made that bouqet she is holding in the pictures. I went to buy a premade boquet at the craft store because she didn't have one and all they had was white and red which wasn't going to match her make up and I wanted fall colors. So, I picked some of the fake fall flowers out and made my own arrangement. Then bought a boquet holder white thingy to put up over the stems and bunch it into a boquet and voila! Total cost to make it : 5 bucks. To buy one premade, 25 bucks!

I would be so, so honoured if you wanted to tag along. Seriously.

But it goes both ways - if you want me to polish your shoes while you shoot a wedding some time, I'd totally do it. If you have a wedding you wouldn't mind me tagging along for, I would really love to.

well hey, the wife may not be able to make it to each wedding so I may need an assistant here and there. :)

Call me! I don't drive in Edmonton as a rule, but for you, I will attempt to navigate the roads that don't make sense.

Sheesh, I wish my husband would consent to be my assistant!

haha, edmonton is a walk in the park. don't ever drive in that dump named calgary then!! I find edmonton driving much easier than calgary, Vancouver, toronto, montreal, or even halifax (downtown roads are too narrow and every corner is like a blind corner).

Edmonton roads are on a grid and make sense.... except for the main roads which curve and go diagonal and confuses the heck out of you.

Morning/afternoon/evening everyone.

How much time are you guys spending in post? I really don't spend much time editing pics as I used to since using lightroom.

8 hours shooting gives me about 800 photos, I cull in about two hours and have them processed/corrected in another 2-3 hours.

figmented wrote in post #4003905 (external link)
haha, yeah, i go a lil overboard.. but WHY NOT i have a frickin 8gb CF card (and multiple 2gb ones).

Every image you take costs you time to process.
