Hi Kathy,

I'm so glad your husband is ok!! Are you able to tell us what happened to him?

Sure, he was working on a piece of heavy equipment that has a huge bar saw on it. He was trying to break a nut loose with a wrench, the wrench slipped, his hand rammed into the saw(like a giant chainsaw). BTW the saw was NOT running! Flesh got hooked on the saw teeth, startled him and he jerked his hand away and the teeth chewed up his fingers. It got 3 fingers, 2 of them really deep, they needed a lot of work done on them but the doc says they will be good as new when they heal. The third finger only had flesh wounds. He's right handed and it was his left that got hurt. He's doing fine!

I will add that it was quite GROSS!:p

Ooooo ... I don't get queasy easily, but that story was a bit hard to read!! Thanks for the explanation ... now I have more ammo to use when my wife asks me to do stuff on the house ... "do you really want me to lose these, darling?"

Seriously, tho, it's great that it wasn't any worse.

Yeah, you should NEVER do anything around the house....explain to her how dangerous it is! You could get hurt! I know men that have hurt their backs just taking out the garbage! You should probably just sit in a soft chair, and PLEASE make sure that there are no sharp edges on your TV remote!:p:D:D

Does anyone have a "contract" or form they use for just portrait, non-bridal, sessions that they'd be willing to share? I'm trying to come up with something but it just isn't flowing very well...

Thanks for the link!

Not quite what I'm looking for, I don't think, though - unless I'm just blind, which could be the case, of course...

And do you all get your seniors etc to fill out model releases? How about your families when you do family shoots? I've got those releases coz I need to use them sometimes for my uw stuff, but hadn't really given them much thought for portrait sessions!

I don't get them for everyone because I don't intend to use the images anywhere. I ask them if they mind if I share some of their images on here and if they don't mind, I have a release sheet that they sign, just allowing me to post them here. When I make the flyers for mail outs to the up coming seniors, I get a signature release to put them on those. Other than that no.
