Yes..they were very nervous.. very very nervous..
I would tell them, "okay guys, please let's not growl at the photographer, what will the grandkids think!?" and they would laugh. Caught a really good one of them laughing here:

Sol - looks like an interesting venue! Sorry to hear about your troubles with the camera :(

I like that one outside, but for me I'd like some more pop!

I'm not 100% on the bw conversions...they might grow on me, but something looks funky to my eye...

Looked at the packages. They look pretty good, but what do I know as I don't offer product packages. Personally, I would nix a few of the 4x6s and offer a couple 5x7s. 4x6's are great for scrapping and throwing into albums, but seem small to me, especially if you are giving them to grandma and grandpa to be framed and set proudly on the mantle...then again maybe I am just bit vain and want my photo to be bigger than everyone elses.. Granted 5x7s aren't much bigger .... eh, ran out of things to say. Will have to investigate and produce some product packages like this at some point I guess :)

My .02

Thanks, I went back and added the 5x7s as I had forgotten about them.

I wasn't sure if I should scrap the 4x6s all the way or what...I don't know but have to have something prepared for Sunday!

Here are two to start off with.
Black walls, black floors, black curtains over the windows, black tablecloths and the only source of light was my external flash, another flash into an umbrella, and oh yes, recessed, dim track lighting (simulating candelight?)
A few from the "Formals"

This one looks like an old vintage photo. I like it a lot. Mind if I throw a few layers over it?

That was exactly what I thought when I saw it! I'd love to see what you do with it so I hope she says yes! :)

OK, here's my package 1:
2 5x7s
1 8x10
1 set 8 wallets
web gallery
disk
$20 print credit with minimum $30 order
Total $100

A la carte options:
4x6 $2
5x7 $7
8x10 $16
8x12 $20
wallet set of 8 $18

Right track?

Is this including the actual shoot?

I would go with
1 8x10
2 5x7s
8 Wallets
Web Gallery
5 Image Photo Disc
$100

Not really sure about the $20 dollar print credit, min $30 order...are you saying this is like a coupon? What will $30 dollars get a customer in regards to product? If they do order $30, what is your cost on the products? Will $10 cover it ($30 order minus $20 dollar coupon)?

yeah, the $20 is incentive to order more prints and it works out ok even with the "worst case" order...they actually have to spend another $10 minimum to use it. People really like discounts here and I thought it might help lead them to order more. I don't know. They'd take whatever they wanted off the a la carte menu...

I was actually thinking $100 might be too much!

I might scratch the disk if I put the images in a gallery they can see and share online...then sell a high res (what do people consider Low and High res anyway??) disk as an extra. On which I have no clue a good price.

Appreciate the feedback coz I'm just nutting it all out and it's good to bounce stuff...

I think I just got scammed on eBay.

Not happy, Jan. (non-Aussies may not understand that)

Great edit there Jared!

That really sucks, Luke! I hope you're wrong!

After thinking about things a little bit I'm revising my need for input:

Package 1:
2 5x7s
1 8x10
1 set 8 wallets
web gallery
print credit with minimum order

Is this a reasonable package? What's missing? Too much for package one? What should I add for Package Two? I'm not concerned with actual prices coz I'm pretty confident I can figure those out for my market and for what I want to get out of things, so I've removed the numbers.
