Would anyone like to come help me clean the house? I am shooting my husband's boss' family tomorrow and in all my wisdom, asked them to supper afterwards. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I have to clean!

With all the coffee you drank (see one of my posts above), you should be able to clean the house, shed, basement and rake the leaves in like 2 minutes!

Maybe you could Paint me up a caffeine IV drip ... on one of those rolling thingies, so it will follow me as I clean.

**** Hi there folks - if you haven't already seen it, just any FYI about quite an interesting thread going on over at:

https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=4112601#post4112601

about copyright, image registration, and your rights in the court should somebody "use-steal-copy" your images. I'm discovering a lot of assumptions I had about this sort of thing were just plain wrong. A lot of the posts make for some informative if not controversial reading. I'd suggest you check it out. Good advice=good protection ;). Other than that, I hope everybody is having a nice Friday afternoon. - Stu

ps - Hi Lisa :D

Gareth just offered his cleaning services free of charge? And he'll even travel for free? Wow, generosity!

I can be bought, for the right price, say a few million!
But you wouldn't want my cleaning services ;)

Hi Stu, interesting thread...baby just went home..he had a rough day, so did I, LOL..my son woke him up and he cried for like an hour straight...UGH..so I called my son on the phone with the baby crying and told him..."this is what happens when you dont know how to shut up!" I'm sure I will say sorry, but I was so angry..Glad his dad came early...but I can still hear him screaming...

Funny thing, I always thought that copyright and watermarking would provide pretty good protection.... never really realized the importance of officially REGISTERING your images.

The thread does a nice job of discussing it; certainly something I plan on looking into since I have a number of online galleries.

Ouch - I remember some days like that Lisa.... way back in the day when my daughters were not yet 21 and 25 . They had their moments, and nights, and diapers (the joys of converting to solid food - I was taught to "clean up" as one of my responsibilities.) But you're a good grandma, and I'm sure they appreciate the assist.

After today, my family is going to have a "sit down" and they will at the least listen to me rant for however LONG it takes...

That certainly gave me pause for thought too....

I'm not sure if I'd register every single wedding and event image that I did each year, as that could be a real hassle in addition to the cost. It looks like max yearly fees could be $180.

I'm really not too concerned about folks "stealing" my wedding work. The material that I'm now starting to exhibit and frame is of greater concern. That would have more commercial attraction. I could see the possibility of maybe once or twice a year putting all the top-notch stuff on a disk and sending it in. That would be a lot cheaper and less bothersome.

I would think in his case he should have worried, then to say he never got the money he was awarded..wow, that is sad.

I may have one or two images, esp if one got published or something but then maybe that alone would be credit to prove it was yours.

We've become such a legal nation,
