Boy, that's a tough call. I know you've been saying your computer is on the way out so maybe that makes more sense...hate to get the lens and then have the computer die so you have to buy one anyway and make cash tight.

Will the lens generate more income at this stage? Will it make your life easier - enough so that your computer won't make you nuts?

There's always my favourite way to make a decision - the Magic 8 Ball :)

Just got back from the supermarket - seems to be the place I run into potential clients ;)

Ran into my family for tomorrow and had a little chat. I'm excited - I think it's going to be great fun. I've been trawling through the people forum to get ideas on kids but need more!

So last night I went to an engagement party for a couple whose wedding I'll be shooting in 2009 ... and they had two massive prints from the e-shoot for people to sign around!! Such a cool idea (and somewhat gratifying for me too ... the photos looked great at that size!).

Beach, 5pm. just under 3 and just over 1.

I've never done two tiny kids at one time and the main request is of shots of them together but I was warned that they never stay together and that they have an obsession with cameras so as soon as they see one they have to be right there behind the thing looking at the images :)

Sorry Kristin, I can't be much help there. I don't have a lot of luck with that young of kids. I do better getting them individually than together, they are not often very cooperative. Good Luck!

Hehehe, thanks anyway, Kathy. I'm good with the individual shots, I think. And I suggested we move beaches and they were more than happy to, so that will make my life easier.

They initially wanted to do it on the East Side - which meant more shadows and bad light - on a boring flat stretch. The west side is gorgeous at that time of day and has more scenic beaches.

Luke...did you take any pics of it? We are all about pics, huh.

and what an honor that they thought your images were THAT good!

Kristin,,,,have fun with them, try to get them with little footprints as they walk.

hmm...make a heart of seashells and put them inside it?

you have rocks there also, right...you can place them at different spots on the rocks..(safely)

have fun, get them laughng and playing and also posing too.

Great ideas, Lisa. I have a whole list in my head of things to try - we'll just see what the attention span is! My "plan" is to try to get them to do a couple "posed" shots first with mom and dad, while they're fresh, maybe after a bit of playtime, then let them do what they do.

Pretty much the same approach I've used for the couples which may or may not be the best thing - mostly just let them be themselves.

I'm also thinking of using the longer lens instead of my fav 17-70...if I'm farther away from them they might lose interest in the camera.
