Those are really cute ideas Lisa. I wish we had a beach closer to my home. The nearest one is about 4 hours away!

Kristin that sounds like a deal, the longer lens. I bet you will get some great shots. I can't wait to see them, the beach/ocean is my favorite place to be.

I'll be using my new lens tomorrow the whole time..I plan on getting more close and personal.

I've got a few ideas, we will see how they work out. New approach in the same park!

well, I'm going to need the lens...probably not soon, but would need it for those longer shots, I have my old one, and It will work, but the L...will be WOW

The desktoop, I want to go to mac, my puter is on it's way out, but will last a few more months, I have time, and i dont' have time till end of Nov/Dec to really get to know the mac and get to working on it and all the programs I will need.

Not much help huh.

The L lens - do you want it more for weddings or sports?

The Mac - how bad is your current computer? Can you still do a bang-up job processing photos on it?

I answered this earlier, but seeing that your computer is giving you a hard time, I would get the new computer. I can not stand working on a crappy computer. I got a new one last May and have not regretted spending the money on it. It makes your work so much more pleasant!

probably for weddings, I'm done with sports till spring now.

My puter is ok, slow, I can still process..but lightroom it about kills me and I have to restart at least 2 times during a wedding.

Well then figure this Lisa ... wedding season isn't for another what, 6 months? 8 months?

Get a new computer now, get a great workflow down and set, and then grab that 70-200 once the bookings/deposits come in for next years weddings!

That would drive me to the computer first. Think how much of your life it will free up!
