sweet! what kind of cut?

Mostly sirloin, two not sirloin ... can't remember now! Butcher shop was closed by the time husband went shopping, so had to settle for what the grocery store had.

I like rib eyes. those are nice a juicy... and fattening.

and of course, I love filets... yum yum.

The Sawmill here in town makes them perfect... I like them rare. It's so rare it's like eating beef sashimi.

I didn't take any photos at the engagement party ... they're friends of ours and I wasn't contracted to shoot it, plus I have a backlog of other photos to process ... so I couldn't be bothered!! But yeah, nice to have my work appreciated and nice to see some referrals happening!!

Ok, out of the last two pages, THIS I understand!

Mmmm-mmm ... buying beef is ridiculously expensive, though. I need to pick a delicious-looking heifer to butcher soon, fill the freezer back up!

yeah, the in-laws usually buy half a cow from their friends who raise them from birth. So we get some really awesome beef. It's just more than we can usually eat... it lasts us a year. Koreans are not big meat eaters... haha

Oh man, ewww..

I usually pick the ones that have been a pain in the arse for one reason or another ... makes eating them that much sweeter.

I friggin' hate chickens ... so I REALLY liked killing them and putting them in my freezer!

Git in mah belly!
