C'mon Mike, come clean. You do like to split hairs. :)
I was wondering his logic on that too, maybe he was not aware of how things work.

OK, ok... you got me.. I can't stop myself.. I'll split them until they're nothing more than a ball of frizzy fuzz.

I would have liked to lightened only the foreground a bit, but do not know how to do this without the whole photo being lightened, then the clouds start to look blown out. How is this done?

You do the adjustment on a layer and then mask out the parts that you don't want the adjustment on (all but the foreground and the left corner)

I'm considering passing out 'happy brownies' at the start of every class.

Make regular brownies, bring them with you, promise one at the END of class for good behavior and 2 for the child who participates best. ;)

Jim I like Athena's foreground but for me I like the cold blue look compared to the peachy purple. I am not saying the other edits are not pretty but I prefer the cold.

Thanks for your input Zane, I had thoughts along the same line. It is just that if you think the photo is nice, you shoulda seen it in real life, I mean WOW. I was tryin' to get that same feeling from the photo.

I'm l-l this close to taking Joshua's rubber band gun (external link) to class with me so I can shoot the little punks to get their attention.

smell of brownies ought to get their attention. But remember never to give them one till they are LEAVING. Let whoever has them AFTER you do deal with the sugar consequenses...

It says it is an invalid attachment and to notify the admin. I have alerted all the mods and sent a message to the authorities.

Ok, no more thinkin' or editing for me tonight, my mind is too tired to concentrate. I think I will get up and go through the training CD that came with CS3, 'bout time I did. :)
