I know I can't do anything... but I'm crying some serious tears here. I feel like I lost one of my own puppies.

Lonnie, I'm sure your PM box is getting pretty full right now. Know that we're all extremely sorry. Ashley was, and is, a great dog and well loved. It grieves us all. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to you.

In light of the recent news, I'm just not really in the mood to post TR tonight. Let's give it a day off. Doesn't seem appropriate right now.

Lonnie,

I'm so sorry. Ashley was so special. I really felt a connection to her when I met her. Having lost Turner just a few months ago, I can so understand what you're going through.

I wish there was something I could do, but I know there is not.

Take care, my friend.

Best Wishes and Peace, Ashley.

Lonnie, I posted over in RRTP about this, but just in case you don't check there:

I am really sorry for your loss. There really isn't anything I can say that will make you feel better.
Ashley was a great dog and one of the few dogs that I enjoyed being around.

Hang in there, stay strong, and take care.

Lonnie, I am so so so sorry.
We're sitting in the hotel room, and I was just checking in to say hi. Now I'm sitting here blubbering like a baby.
I am SO glad that you were with her, Lonnie, and that you didn't meet up with us today.
I would have never forgiven myself for that.

My heart is breaking for you. :~(:~(:~(

I just got back from the pet hospital (no, not that one!!!). I paid the $75 for a special cremation and to have Ashley's ashes returned to me. I've had dozens of pets in my life, but I've never done this before. But, Ashley was special, dammit!

I don't know what I'm going to do with her ashes just yet. I should probably scatter them on the summit of White Mountain Peak. She was one of the very few dogs to ever see the summit of that 14,246' mountain. Heck, most PEOPLE haven't been up there)

My cats are acting strange. The cats and Ashley always just ignored each other, but obviously they know something is wrong...

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.
