Here's a question that I should know the answer to because I used to have this bag, but I can't remember. I'm thinking of buying a 5 MDH to carry my 5D (w/o grip) 24-105 f/4, 17-40 f/4 & a Canon 430EX flash. Anyone have this setup that can comment about whether it fits? I already a 7 MDH and I just want a bag for traveling light so I'm hoping this stuff will fit in a 5 MDH, I'd rather not move up to a 6 MDH.

Thanks for any help!

Don't have that setup, but I just got a 5MDH. Same sizeish as the 100AW. I know all will fit perfectly. NOt sure on the length of the 24-105 though, sorry.

Psh! Idk what you're talking about! Sadly, the Bundle may be leaving with the S3 if my stupid job doesn't give me hours.

What about Jon and his Domke's? Huh!? You'd think we are reps for the company or something.

I thought about the 6MDH just for a tele and 2 lenses but I'm not there yet. After I get my macro and 100-400L I might be there on being selective of what I take! :D

Only to be so lucky!

i looked at the 5 mil today at the camera store. basically it has three big pockets inside, each of which will fit any of the items you mention. so i think it would work fine.

i'm looking at the domke f 802 myself to complement my domke f-1X as a laptop/light camera bag.

i figure i can carry my lap top in the 802 when travelling and then use it as a day bag when i want to look around with just one camera and a couple of lenses. i'd get a two or three pocket insert for the 802 that i'd use to pad my laptop when i'm travelling.

the crumplers look like nice bags but they are just a bit too "metro" for me :D.

^ :p on you! They're awesome, just don't get the "metro" colors. I was stuck with blue though if I wanted the 7MDH for $70. Tried to trade it actually. lol

EDIT: Incubus, 100AW would hold your gear. Want one?

my f-1x is olive drab canvas. i'll probably get the f-802 in black canvas or olive drab. or maybe i'll let it all hang out and get navy blue :D!

Does anyone know if the 5MDH would hold a 40D with grip and 17-55 IS attached then leave me room to toss in one or two other lenses? I really want to have a bag that can hold the 40D gripped.

i'm pretty certain it will. it's a pretty roomy bag.

Probably be tossing in my 70-300 IS and a 580EX II. I would love to have this for when I'm traveling (the 17-55 IS and 70-300 IS are my travel lenses) as my 7MDH is way to large to carry around all day.
