Somebody found an answer to my LR problem!!! :D

Color labels are also Label Sets that have word descriptions associated with them. The laptop label set was on "default," while the desktop label set was on "review." I don't remember having changed it, but at some point I must have.

The end result is that even though the "color" was the same, the "description" was not, and since it didn't match 100% on both areas, LR didn't display the color. Bridge doesn't check the description, only the color, so that's why it worked when LR didn't. When I changed the desktop back to the default label set, everything appeared just as I'd expected it to all along.

Whewwww. . .

That took way too much time today. But I can assure you it's something that I'll never mess up again.;)

Oh, that. Yeah. I could've told you that. Everyone knows that. ;)

Bad news: Everything that Apple is offering up is now glossy. Only the Macbook Pro has an option for matte screens..

Imagine putting a Dell on a Mac ;)

you know, you may be happier with a non mac monitor then...seriously. The glossy are pretty and great for almost everything, but I've heard they are nightmarish for photo processing.

That's the plan. Going to go with the Dell 24" LCD. At 30% cheaper (few hundred bucks too!) it's definitely easier on my wallet too. I'll pick up a Canon 2X TC for the difference ;)

Hey Yoda? are you buying it from Dell AU direct? If so, how much for? We can lever off our company's purchasing if you want?
