that one I was telling you guys about last spring. It was supposed to be at Loon Lake but we cancelled the camping trip (we were too busy). The couple (my aunt/uncle) who aren't much older than us, are celebrating their 20th anniversary and wanted a trash the dress shoot (she's one of those people who 20 years later can STILL wear her wedding dress!). They just bought motorcycles so we thought we'd do some shots out at WF w/the bikes and then maybe the downtown Corvallis fountain...we're still mulling other location ideas but WF is confirmed. We just haven't figured out where the "trashing" will occur.

ah....I think that trash the dress shoot is this Sat. barring bad weather :D (I'll know more tomorrow morning)

Wouldn't bad weather make the trashing better?

OK -- I don't want to hear any more whining from camera buyers about release dates for lenses and bodies.

I mentioned a while back that I was looking for a new PDA/Phone. The one that I like the best is ancient in technological terms, having been released in late 2005/early 2006. The replacement to that model, which of course has significant technical improvements across the board, has been rumored to be released in 2/07, 6/07, 8/07, 9/07, 10/07, and 11/07. Depending on where I look, people are predicting releases any where from last week (guess they should take that one down ;)) to the Thanksgiving weekend.

It's been delayed due to the Qualcom, Broadcom chip lawsuit -- but things were apparently settled in 6/07, 8/07, or 9/07 depending on where I look.

The end result is that the phone I want now is likely to be end of serviced before I even get it home. The phone I'd much rather have may or may not be available soon, or not so soon. The others that are available in the meantime lack significant features I want, or offer to sell additional components to provide the same features the one I want already has built in.

At least Canon gives us twice a year for everyone to get worked up into a frenzy. Trying to weed through all this stuff is impossible.

know how that feels quite fancy the iphone but its valued at twice the american value im not paything that much more for the same product no way

Interesting... I forgot all about that (been too long) -- looks like I will be going up north with SkipMo(o) that day --- though that drive does not look fun :-/

oh shoot, I forgot about that (we are trying to meet them the following Thurs). Darn it. I was counting on you. Oh well, I understand...we hadn't locked the date when you made your plans...it'll probably be just us I guess, since the notice is so short.

we could just never get a weekend when we were here and they were here...which is why the delay (and then, it's turning cold too quickly to wait much longer)...

My trip up north isn't set in stone...

I really didn't think the San Juans were as far north as they are. I thought they were across the sound from Seattle... but it is a 5-6 hour drive each way + ferry time... With homework load, etc - I am not sure how that will all workout. I WANT to do it - if I wasn't in school I would go up on Friday, camp, leave on Sunday - but an "up-shoot-back" in one day is tough...

yeah, it takes about 6 hrs if you count traffic (at least, every time we've gone up there over the last few months it's taken at least that long...stupid construction from Tacoma through Everett). We sat in construction in Everett the time before the last trip for 1hr and 45min...but then last time, we made it through w/no issues...it's unpredictable so allow for extra travel time.
