Careful there, I don't think I'd use any of those words in any juxtaposition to Permie's name... I'd be afraid of a fishslap...

I'm not worried. It rained yesterday. She won't be out of her house for a week.

I love that ole tombstone. It is what I learned on after all. But it is over 40 years old and Has been on this farm almost as long as my dad, the fan has been long gone and it only functions on 3 setting (Which makes good welds hard.)

Also our needs are changing as my brother and I (who went in to buy her) do more fab for bumpers and things where having the wirefeed is just more convenient. :D

That is sort of the reason why mine is still in NY...40+ years old and only a couple settings still work...but it more than paid for itself over the years...

Thanks John!

I actually have plans to marry Elliot Sadler so really my heart is reserved for now anyway....but it's flattering to have a pass made, even if rhetorical....its better than no pass at all.....ok, well, no its not, but still.....

There was this one guy on this thread that was "passed" - but he didn't know it at the time

That is why our is still in the shop :-D. Just about everything on this farm that has been welded or built or fixed has been done so by that little welder it has served well and faithfully! Hard to complain about her really.

It just didnt feel quite like an L i guess. Probably fooled by that hood, the way it spun and didnt fit tight made it feel a little cheap for want of a better word.

I can help there too....

But to think of how much better and nicer welds you can do with the new one...I hate to get rid of the old...but dang...no more worries about dated or damp rod.
