This is significant because USC was the top-ranked team in the entire nation. Stanford had the worst record in the PAC-10 and really had no business being on the same field (at least on paper).

trust me, NZ losing this early in the game for the rugby world cup is a sad day in NZ. it will take up most of the news tonight, like 50% at least. It's expected that NZ would always make the semi finials of the rugby world cup every time. which is funny because we have only won it once.

This is NZ national game, in some parts of the country if you don't like rugby, your not a man  but hey it's just a game and I don't follow it. I would have like NZ but that's because I am proud of my country.

I tried Chris's Bigma while we were driving - and it wouldn't AF on my 40D...
So: 500mm, MF, hand-held, 1/250, while Chris was going around 60MPH:

Not great - but not bad, considering!

just a quick question, what's a safety corridor? that may sound like a dumb question but I don't think I've seen a sign like that in NZ.

when going up and down step hills we do have a slow lane, for the likes of trucks etc, same thing?

If you violate the law in a safety corridor, fines are doubled.

Plus there is extra money for road improvements and enforcement.

I am sure our lawman Chris will know more - but in simple terms: it is a name they give a dangerous part of road so that if you are pulled over by the police they can give you a more expensive fine...

It is supposed to help reduce the number of accidents in an area that has a high number of them. Basically, people just ignore the speed limit anyways :(.

The money for improvements is more obvious.

Oh, am I am being cynical again.? :o

Not a dumb question. We don't have safety corridors in Colorado. We do have "work zones" though.

No doubling of the doubled fine. Just gets doubled once.

And all work zones are double as well (if they're marked as such).

Well, yes and no. I would assume that the additional funds comes from the additional fine collected.
