hrmm... odd with the focusing Scott.

thought even with the ring of fire mode on, and if it picked the trees etc... that, at f/8 at that length, the DoF would've been sufficient :|

don't suppose there's any way you can go back and try taking the scene again but using a selected focus point to choose the peak?

or are you trying to diagnose the ring of fire?

Wool...looked like a fun day ;). Thats one funky looking broom...why is it so 'differently' made?? Where can I get one of those...they are nice :).

The wedding was for family only...so no POTN members to do photos....not to mention that there are no active members anywhere near me...Jamie and Jon are the two closest...Athena was about 5 hours away....but she is in the process/has already returned to Thailand. Wedding pictures are no big thing....I checked out the shots taken by family members...and like my son said...they captured the moment...even if they weren't perfectly posed or exposed!;)

That is the only thing that counts....as a matter of fact, we didn't get any wedding photos printed when I got married. All we have is the proof book that we paid for from the photog. My wife and I enjoyed the family snapshots better. I am thinking about contacting the photog to get some prints made...but since it was pre-digital days, I really hope that he has the negatives still...it would be a nice suprise for my wife.

No one in particular...Tommy was just talkin about El General having a report post button that looked like an instant ban button....easy to confuse

Cloudy all this next week - next clear day I will try - and I will use my 20D as well to see how it looks there.

The broom came from here....http://friendswoodbrooms.com/ (external link)

All the brooms are hand crafted and tell a story...different woods have different meanings...as do single heads, double heads, intertwined heads, straight handles, twisted handles, circular handles....very interesting segment of our culture.
