Yea, I have mentioned that to him before. I usually leave mine on center point unless i am doing something weird.

I try to remember to put mine to center point as often as possible, because if I don't, I end up handing the camera over to my wife with an off center focus point. She takes a shot, assuming that the center point will be in focus, and ends up taking nice shots of a subject that's completely out of focus. Ooops. . .

I have some more shots I took on film, but I will have to wait till Weds for those when I am going to my friends house to develop them.

Doesn't exactly settle it... with that lens at those distances - everything is in the DOF... the water, the trees, the mountain - the focus ring on this goes from 3' to infinity - everything was in infinity...

Problem is - you don't really know what was being used as the AF point. Might even have been a passing goose (or methane cloud). Moooo!
