It wasn't that egregious. I'm just in my moderator mode right now...I'm dealing with another 'situation' elsewhere, and I'm p***ed.

I hate it when we're doing our best to keep the peace around here and get accused of 'taking sides.' At these wages, how can they expect perfect work?

That's terrible Chief....guess you could always lay down the law of the land and provide a solution of

Better, worse or the same as the previous version?

It was verdigris on a red truck? Here I was thinking it was rust on a green one and it'd be richer browns . . . But, yeah, I think I prefer it slightly over the original. I always was a Kodachrome kind of guy. Even tried double-printing a Tall Ship B&W in cyanotype and Van Dyke Brown on translucent paper. Alas, the paper I had didn't hold the solutions well . . .

Hey, I just found this. It's already a few days old but I hadn't seen it. 60fps! What will you do with that?

The red border just made it worse...you need solid color lettering...and no white.

that looks worse again

IMO I think that right now OSX is truly the closest to being PnP, the dream coming to fruition after about ten years. XP will whine to me "Would you like to search the Internet" blah blah blah and force me to clear a number of dialog boxes. On the other hand, I plug stuff into OSX and stuff just......WORKS!

I anticipated an uphill battle with the drivers to get all my gear to work with the Mac, but it seems like this is not the case.. even my color calibrator works fine (thanks Scott!)

its great isnt it :-D i set vista pc up for a friend the other day, To install the drivers she needed the screen goes to a black transparency so you can not do anything alts and gives you a warning message it did this three times for each driver. It drove me insane

I expected the same with drivers but i have yet to experience a problem

In that way I am very grateful I learned the BASICS before I came here. I learned a few useful things here, but those were add-ons rather than the basics. I would have been so misguided otherwise. Sometimes I feel that learning to teach yourself a new skill is not the best way....it's THE ONLY WAY.

amen trial and error and experiment is how Ive grown up just love tinkering and getting stuff to work

I've seen Rocky Horror. I think it's more a US and UK thing though. I had never heard of it until I went to see a theatre show in Richmond. I've since been to a movie showing with the props etc and have the DVD. It's a weird movie! haha

As others have said, Tracy, you'll do great.

I'm also starting to ramp up for this weekend. I'm shooting a wedding (outdoors) and watching the weatherman steadily change the forecast: partly cloudy, cloudy, chance of showers, mostly cloudy -- who knows? There is almost no covered area under which we could hide should the weather really turn out wet.

I did scout the location today at around the time the wedding party shots will be taken. The most scenic area is in almost complete shade, under a canopy of trees, with a small stage area surrounded by bleachers (yes, like you'd find around a small sports field). Across the parking lot is a skeet shooting range (don't know what else to call it). Somewhere in between those areas the bride and groom will have some of their restored classic tractors on display.

Just the kind of thing to give many of the folks in the WF a coronary. ;);)

Good luck with the wedding.....cant wait to see what you get....one of these days I plan to dabble in wedding photography....too bad both of my sisters got married before I knew what I was doing....and well, I cant take pictures of my own wedding sooooo....lol. Maybe I will start crashing them for practice.....

Tracy :)
