well I just think you should get PSC3, that will solve all your problems ;)

I've thought about getting it with Academic Pricing... BUT - I don't think there are THAT many new features to warrant the upgrade from CS2.

Well, goodluck with it. Will 5.5 run on vista?

Vista doesn't run on Vista....

Think im just going to stick to the chat and buy/sell parts of the forum from now on

I would rather stick to the Chat threads --- but the Buy/Sell draws me in....

:lol:Nothing to do with the WF. They've been pretty well-behaved lately. They do have some great people who hang out there.

I enjoy the WF at times, but when they get all "ticky" I lose my enjoyment.

Hmm.. if shooting outdoors, and using the flash for daylight fill, set E-TTL, 0 flash exposure compensation, high speed sync, and whatever shooting mode you normally use (for me it's Av) Then just shoot. E-TTL does a decent job of fill. Faces will still appear a bit darker in shadow but that's a natural look. And they won't be completely blacked out. Use direct flash.

If shooting indoors, Av, bounce the flash into the ceiling. Be aware your shutter speed will drop so open up aperture and boost ISO to compensate. This is what's called 'slow sync' flash and responsible for having nicely lit backgrounds.

The traditional bounce card (index card rubber-banded to the flash) works best in these situations. Just point the flash straight up and leave the index card to do the job. You may want +1/3rd flash exposure comp.

That's pretty much the best way to go with on-camera flash. Advanced lighting techniques involving off-camera flash are a totally different story. I usually do not have time to rig these setups in the field so I just shoot on-camera at events.

Great Pointers, Lightstream....I've been trying out different settings all morning and think I might have good idea what to do....Ive kept notes...still have to check the shots out on the computer but I think I figured it out.....had overcast and now bright and sunny......Practice, practice, practice....whoooooo hoooooo

No more spiders. I'll have to stalk some bigger ones. I just found this one before going to bed yesterday evening...
