lol so basically its a waste of space?

I was only thinking that... I wouldn't dare say it.

What is your work flow with Raw files.
I have disk space issues.. particularly with Lightroom.
Basically Every Raw is duplicated as a DNG file, Plus I convert them to Jpegs. & Stacks of space!

I got plenty of HDD space. I kinda keep all photos even the bad ones. You never know.

umm my work flow is simple. I open adobe bridge, check the file out, double click on it and then it opens in PS which I then edit the raw file. alt/s later and I save the file in the location of processed files.

sad he died, he was totally cool. they must be devastated.

i dont keep my files in lightroom once ive exported my finals - i delete them from the library so it doesnt get too gigantic and just archive the raw files on hdd and dvd. when my hdd gets full... i buy another and add it on

Guess my main problem is I have a Laptop as my main computer, and it only has a slow 160GB HDD. I have a 250GB external that is now also full:(

Since I got my DSLR 2 1/2 years ago I have taken about 50,000 photos.
The camera has its second shutter mechanism.

Nice post count Mr 666.
I think what gobbles up numbers are sports shoots & Studio shoots where I regularly take 300 photos.
