I thought it was obvious, if he has kids then he should know how to relate to them so he can shoot them. otherwise I don't think he would be much of a father then is he?

ah - the old "they're all the same" mistake eh? nope, doesn't work like that.
Some kids will be really easy to take photo's of (I've got one of those :) ) and others will absolutely hate it. Some will sit & play with something for hours while others will be bored silly after 6.2 seconds. Some can do as they're told, while others...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
TF posting: here :-)

You ever tried managing other people's kids? *not* easy. Hell, it's bad enough with your own sometimes. :D

Good call. Kids (especially the under 5's) can be a handful in a formal environment. Especially indoors.

in a word, NOPE.

I have 2 girls.

Just because you have kids proves only 1 thing ......... you can breed
Does not mean your any good with them or that you can photograph them well.

I have enough trouble with 18-24 yr old woman and trying to bite my tounge.
There is a reason why I do well with nature and landscapes.

That's true, even dumb people can do that ;)

as you can tell I have kids, NOT. I have never shots kids and really I wouldn't have any idea on how to get them to sit still or anything.

Ok now I will shut up :)

The idea of them playing and running around sounds way better than in a studio where I have to direct.

I HATE directing people.

So whats everyone up to this week. Who up for a city shoot at night ...... wait weathers meant to be turning to custard

Really?
Is it a proper Tiwn Turbo VR6? Or one of the wanna be GDI models?

The real VR6's are proper rocket ships, 280hp with the traction to make it work.

yep the twin hairdryer version - still sucked.. felt like a wet weekend in bognor( palmerston north is the nz equal) ... !!

fast it was - but then again so would be my driving license as it was handed to the nice officer... ;)

You cannot direct kids :) The more you try - the harder it will get. Just let them do what they do best and take photos of it....

EDIT: In very fiesty mood today. Teachers are back. Had to show 1 today how to drag and drop a document from 1 folder to another. Just to think our tax paying $$$ goes to a good cause.

thats for sure - at the wedding the young (costumed) boy who was meant to carry in the bible pillow changed his mind IN THE DOORWAY of the church. all the convincing (bribing) in the world was to no avail...
end result: the pastor carried the bible (without the cushion)

Wait, you're married right? Shouldn't that be 2 people? *ducks* ;)

Hmmmm must have been an English / History teacher. Good with books, lousy with technology.

Yeah right ....... We have a very simple understanding with each other "if you dont like the way things are, theres the front door"

We learnt very early on that we were not going to be able to change the other. We are both very stubborn and when toes get dug in there aint no way either will move.
You think I have attitude ............ cross my wife and she will make me look like a kiten.
