Everyone except me! (gear wise)

Are ya handy with a knife, and some velcro? I know a way to fit the camera ans glass ;)

Easy. Just get a second bag :D

:oops: The classic case of not checking your post before posting here: What I meant to say was that no matter how much I play with the new bag (which I love) and alter it, it just doesn't seem to be as fun as the new lens/body purchases of others LOL

Mind you, there are lots of spaces in my bag, so when I do eventually buy more stuff, I will have a cosy space all figured out :lol:

Oh and an update on my knee - apparently I have managed an ACL tear on the right one - without knowing when or how  Now have an appointment to figure out how to manage/fix it.

Just seems that I have trouble getting the right focus point. Might be a learning curve thing.

Oh this is the start of a 40D wont focus correctly thread

Thanks John :)
Just went into my old work - my current boss had been in to talk to them. He thinks I'm leaving because of the traffic, hah

What traffic?:p

I haven't really done that many tests yet. Everything I tested was moving. I'll try some formal tests tonight.
Great bride picture.
I hope a wave didn't get her. just behind it looks like a wave made it up to the sandy platform she is standing on.

here's a 100% crop of the same image
i NEVER could have got such a good result from the 350 at 100% - occasionally it came close but not often
that might have been partially due to the glass of course (below taken with 17-55)

ps a wave did make it up there, but we were standing on the dry part - its actually a moderately high concrete wall

Ok Question about exposure compensation on the 40D.
Whenever I try to change the exposure compensation .

.... <Plays with camera & answers own question>
Oh ****. RTFM!I was getting confused with exposure compensation. Whenever I changed it, as soon as I pressed the shutter, it jumped back to 0.
I just found out .. I was changing the FEL (Flash Exposure Level) not the camera level.
I fiddled with the big wheel at the back & now know how it works !

I need to do some tests, but up till now I am not blown away with the image quality. May need to do some formal testing. Just seems that I have trouble getting the right focus point. Might be a learning curve thing.

Man, people and their new toys...;) What happened to reading the manual:lol:

Yeah, anterior cruciate ligament tear apparently also known as netball knee

after some reading, options seem to be stop doing stuff that pivots the knee (which isn't so fun when doing panning shots), or wearing a brace (which prevents pivoting ) or surgery, hopefully because it is preventing me doing some stuff at work at the moment I might not have to wait too long if surgery is required (or it might sway the specialist towards that option). I just want it fixed

Nice pic, the 17-55 is the reason, it's 'L' quality glass. Were you using flash?

Those fine strings are from a smear on her sensor:p But seriously, they're there to help support in keeping the gown up. Those flimsy white straps aren't strong enough to hold the gown up.

And the crown... she is queen for the day... or till the honeymoon is over... whichever comes first.

I hope the warm syringe unblocks things... we can't have you being grumpy all night.
