Looking through all the models photos discovered a couple of things.

1) Last nights models was infact #40 (8000 model photos)
2) There are a lot of great shots but small things spoil them
3) It only took 1 person to give me a change (liz you are a star)
4) There is 1 model shoot that stands out more than any other. I dont know why its almost like there is some connection...or maybe I poured my soul and heart into it.

1) 8000. & 40 models. I think you are beating me.
2) I know that problem.... Out of focus, Fold in skin, hair not right, cropped hand. foot. head, wrong focal point, expression. Blow-outs etc. etc. etc.
3) Please explain?
4) I know that. But sometimes you have 2 shoots with the same model... One is cr@p & the other has nearly 100% success. Guess it depends on the moon position, metabolic cycle of photographer & model, preparation 6 lots more.

#3 answer

A year ago Liz (GKPE Member) offered to model for me. What she didnt realise at the time was by offering that 1 unselfish act she alone launched my model photography.

Without her photos to start my portfolio it would have taken me a lot longer to get a model.

I guess thats why I am with my kit and letting people borrow things that they would otherwise never have the change to use.

#4 You often dont get a second chance. I didnt with that model as she went back home to SA.

The shoot started really bad, I felt like a complete twit the photos were comming out crap, I had no confidence. Her friend jumped in and directed the rest of the shoot and everything chnaged. The photos were perfect I thought. Got home and discovered that I was on AV mode and shutter was dropping below 1/60 .....blur.

There was 1 other factor that made it stood out but cant seem to put into words......there was something about her.

My glamour photography has had a lot of knocks, but it always seem to comes back ....likes its meant to be.
Yes 40 models and dont froget between april and September I did none so thats 6 months so I guess 40 models in 6 months.
The best bit is the responce I get from the models when they see the edited photos ....WOW is what I get.

Heh, vista sp1 beta has messed up my machine. control panel doesn't work, and I've lost aero. Poos.

Yesterday I removed Vista and installed xp, not as pretty but far more stable and now picasa works properly and lightroom is faster!

Here is a link to some gannet pics I shot last week

I'd like to support England, but seriously, their gameplay has been utter crap - they've sneaked through with easy games - just look back at 36-0 Pool game, they haven't changed much since there, sure the scores will be closer tonight, but not by much.

Score predictions?

SA 28 - England 13

... Shane, PM the mod and tell him you are interested in contributing. I was posting when I had only around 200...

Thanks John. If it reaches the point where I have something valuable to contribute there then I may just do that. Other than that I'll wait.
